Reflect & Acknowledge

Teacher Acknowledgment

Acknowledgment lets a teacher formally confirm they have read the observer’s feedback. For districts that require a documented, signed teacher receipt for formal evaluations, the acknowledgment becomes part of the permanent observation record.

When a teacher acknowledges an observation, the record captures:

  • The teacher’s name,
  • The time of acknowledgment, and
  • An optional written response from the teacher.

The acknowledgment becomes part of the permanent observation record and appears on the closed-observation PDF, which mirrors the on-screen record.

The teacher acknowledges from the Acknowledgement section of their observation page, after the observer submits it. If self-reflection is required first, the teacher completes their reflection before acknowledging.

Teachers can acknowledge from within the platform or directly from a secure email link, without logging in.

Acknowledgment is configured per Form Set, so it can be required for formal evaluations while informal walkthroughs are left unchanged. Like reflection, it applies only to observations created after it’s turned on.
