eLearn Overview
Get familiar with the eLearn module's main features and how to navigate your learning dashboard.
The eLearn module provides a comprehensive professional development platform where you can access courses, assessments, content libraries, and learning paths. This overview introduces you to the main features and navigation basics.
Understanding the eLearn Dashboard
Section titled “Understanding the eLearn Dashboard”Your eLearn dashboard serves as the central hub for all your professional development activities. From here, you can:
- Continue previously started content
- Access required training assignments
- Browse content libraries and learning paths
- View your progress across all enrolled content
Dashboard Sections
Section titled “Dashboard Sections”Continue Content Shows courses and training materials you’ve started but haven’t completed yet. This section appears only when you have content in progress.
Required Content
Displays training assignments that have been specifically assigned to you or recommended based on your role and organization.
Content Libraries Collections of related professional development materials organized by topic, subject, or skill area.
Learning Paths Structured sequences of content designed to build specific competencies or meet certification requirements.
Available Content Types
Section titled “Available Content Types”The eLearn module supports several types of professional development content:
Courses
Section titled “Courses”Interactive training programs that may include videos, readings, activities, and assessments. Courses typically focus on specific skills or knowledge areas relevant to K-12 education.
Assessments
Section titled “Assessments”Evaluative content that tests your knowledge and skills. Assessments can be:
- Standalone: Independent tests or evaluations
- Course-embedded: Assessments within larger training programs
- Proctored: Supervised assessments requiring oversight
Videos
Section titled “Videos”Educational video content covering various professional development topics. Videos track your viewing progress and completion status.
Document-based resources including guides, references, and supplementary materials you can read online or download.
Content Libraries
Section titled “Content Libraries”Curated collections that bundle related materials together, making it easier to find comprehensive training on specific topics.
Learning Paths
Section titled “Learning Paths”Sequential training programs that guide you through multiple pieces of content in a structured order to achieve specific learning objectives.
Navigation Basics
Section titled “Navigation Basics”Main Navigation
Section titled “Main Navigation”Access different content types through the eLearn module’s main navigation:
- Dashboard: Your personalized learning home page
- Content Libraries: Browse organized collections of materials
- Learning Paths: Access structured learning sequences
- Courses: View available training programs by type
- Videos: Browse video-based training content
- PDFs: Access document-based resources
Content Status Indicators
Section titled “Content Status Indicators”Content displays visual indicators showing your progress:
- Green background: Completed content
- Yellow background: Required or assigned content
- Orange background: Content in progress
- White background: Available but not started
- Red background: Failed assessments (for retake)
Search and Filtering
Section titled “Search and Filtering”Use the search and filter tools to find specific content:
- Search bar: Enter keywords to find content by name or description
- Category filters: Select topics, subjects, or skills to narrow results
- Status filters: Show only completed, required, in-progress, or not-started content
- Content type filters: Focus on specific formats like videos or assessments
User Role Capabilities
Section titled “User Role Capabilities”Your access and capabilities in the eLearn module depend on your assigned roles:
All Users
Section titled “All Users”- View assigned content and recommendations
- Complete courses, assessments, and training materials
- Track progress and completion status
- Access certificates for completed content
Administrators (system_administrator, organization_administrator)
Section titled “Administrators (system_administrator, organization_administrator)”- Assign content to users and groups
- Monitor completion across their organization
- Access reporting and analytics
- Manage content licensing and availability
Reporters (reporter)
Section titled “Reporters (reporter)”- View progress reports and analytics
- Export completion data
- Track organizational training metrics
Proctors (proctor)
Section titled “Proctors (proctor)”- Create and manage proctored assessment sessions
- Monitor learner activity during supervised assessments
- Control access to restricted content
Getting Started
