What the eLearn App Does Not Do
The eLearn features that are web only, and where to find each one on the web.
Roles: for everyone. Administrators, reporters, and proctors work on the web.
The eLearn app is built for taking courses and checking your certificates. Everything below is web only. Open Master Teacher in a web browser (on a computer, or in your phone’s browser) to use it.
No offline use
Section titled “No offline use”The app needs an internet connection the whole time. Nothing downloads to your device: videos stream as you watch, and progress saves to Master Teacher as you go. Without a connection, lists and courses do not load.
No push notifications
Section titled “No push notifications”The eLearn app does not send notifications to your phone. Email notifications from Master Teacher are not affected, and you choose which ones you receive in your profile on the web. See How-to Guide: Managing Your Notification Preferences.
No transcript download or certificate saving
Section titled “No transcript download or certificate saving”The Certificates tab shows your entries and opens certificates, but it cannot download your transcript or save, share, or print a certificate. See Viewing My Transcripts and Downloading Certificates.
My Certifications (assessment certifications) is also web only. See Viewing Your Assessment Certifications.
No administrator, reporter, or proctor features
Section titled “No administrator, reporter, or proctor features”Every signed-in person sees the same four tabs. The app has no screens for:
- Administration: assigning content to schools, managing staff transcripts, recording PD hours, or correcting results. See eLearn Administration at a Glance.
- Reports: progress, transcript, and assessment reports. See eLearn Reports Overview.
- Proctoring: the Proctor Lobby, proctored sessions, and the proctoring dashboard. See Getting Started as a Proctor.

- Profile changes: the app’s profile is read-only. See Managing Your Profile.
Content the app does not open or finish
Section titled “Content the app does not open or finish”- Case studies, standalone videos, and standalone PDFs open a blank screen in the app. Open them on the web.
- Learning path progress: learning paths open as a plain list, without the path’s progress page.
- Short-answer exam questions do not appear in the app. Take that exam on the web.
- Exam retakes for exams with a limited number of attempts are not offered in the app.
- A course whose last section is a page or PDF cannot be finished in the app. Finish the last section on the web.
