What's New: Mobile Push Notifications

Published

The weCLIMB mobile app can now notify you on your phone. When an observer asks you to reflect, a teacher acknowledges your feedback, your coach updates an action step, or someone comments on an observation, your phone tells you — and one tap opens the exact screen you need.

Observation work is time-sensitive and arrives without warning. Until now, an email was the only nudge, and getting from that email to the reflection form took several steps on a phone. A push notification closes the gap: tap it, and you’re on the observation, on the right tab, ready to respond.

  • Get notified about reflection and acknowledgment requests, finalized reports, comments, coaching action steps and reminders, and new course recommendations.
  • Tap straight through to the observation or coaching cycle — including from a fully closed app.
  • Choose exactly which categories reach your phone, from a new Notifications screen in the app.
  • Keep push and email separate: take coaching reminders on your phone, keep comments in your inbox, or use both.

The first time you sign in after updating, the app asks whether to turn on notifications. Tap Turn on notifications, then Allow when your phone asks, and you’re set — every category starts out on, so there’s nothing else to configure.

Changed your mind later? Everything is adjustable, any time.

Notifications generated between 9:00 pm and 7:00 am in your phone’s time zone are held until morning. A late-evening observation won’t wake you; it’ll be waiting when you start your day.

Every category can be switched off, and your choices apply to your account across every phone you use. If a category is greyed out, it’s controlled by your organization — the screen tells you which.

Update the app, then open the Home tab, tap the menu icon (), and choose Notifications.
