What's New: Notification Preferences

Notification Preferences: your inbox, your rules
Section titled “Notification Preferences: your inbox, your rules”You can now decide which notifications Master Teacher sends you, by email and by push notification. Push applies only if your district uses a mobile app. Reflection requests, acknowledgment requests, coaching reminders, comment notifications, and course recommendations are each optional. Keep the ones that help and switch off the rest, right from your profile.
Why it helps
Section titled “Why it helps”Everyone works differently. A coach living in their action steps and a teacher who checks in once a week don’t need the same notifications. Until now, those messages arrived whether you wanted them or not. Now the choice is yours: separately for email and push.
What you can do
Section titled “What you can do”- Turn any optional notification on or off from My Profile → Notifications.
- Control each channel (email and push) independently for every category.
- Manage observation prompts across three distinct events: Reflection requests, Acknowledgment requests, and Acknowledgments received.
- Control coaching updates, reminders, comment notifications, and course recommendations: each independently.
- Mute all optional email notifications in a single click, then re-enable anything you miss.
- See at a glance how many optional email notifications you currently have active (out of 8).
Changes save automatically as you make them.
Always-on essentials
Section titled “Always-on essentials”The Final report email (sent when an observation is finalized) is always delivered to your inbox and cannot be turned off. It appears in your list marked as always on, so you can see exactly what’s guaranteed to reach you.
The push notification for the Final report works differently: it follows your preference and can be turned off.
A better conversation on observations
Section titled “A better conversation on observations”Comments now reach teachers during the reflection and acknowledgment process, not only after an observation closes, so feedback and follow-up can happen while the work is still fresh. Prefer to keep your inbox quiet? Turning off Comments & replies works too.
Where to find it
Section titled “Where to find it”Click your avatar, choose My Profile, and scroll to the Notifications section.
